These notes have Slovenian text on front, German text on back, and identical designs on both sides, though mirrored on denominations 50 lira and larger. On denominations 5 lira and larger, the serial numbers are printed on the front only. The English translation of the text which appears on the 50- to 1,000-lira notes is as follows: “This money order is issued under the supervision of the authorities and is covered with credit deposited at Banca d’Italia. It will be exchanged to the bearer into legal tender notes of Banca d’Italia within the time frame specified by the Head of the Provincial Administration in Ljubljana. Issued based on the Decree VII. number 4504/1 of the Head of the Provincial Administration in Ljubljana, dated 14. IX. 1944. Savings Bank of Ljubljana Province.”
